Benefits of Membership
In todayʹs society where joining the church is not the norm, church membership is an act of commitment to changing the world to the glory of God. Some of the benefits of membership are:
● Membership identifies a person as a genuine believer.
● Membership provides a spiritual family to support and encourage believers in their walk with Christ.
● Membership gives people a place to discover and use their God‐given gifts in ministry.
● Membership places people under the spiritual protection of godly leaders.
● Membership gives Christians the accountability they need to grow.

Why Become a Member?  First Congregational Church is a great place for individuals and families to grow and worship God together. No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey. You will find so many reasons to join, for the people, the fellowship, for social action and justice, for caring members, christian education, preschool to senior high youth programs, xyz senior club, and music and events.

Church provides benefits that Christians cannot find anywhere else.
● Worship helps us focus on God. It prepares us spiritually and emotionally for the week ahead.
● Fellowship helps us face lifeʹs problems by providing the support and encouragement of other Christians.
● Discipleship helps us fortify our faith by learning the truth of Godʹs word and applying biblical principles to our lifestyles.
● Ministry helps us find and develop our talents and use them to serve others.
● Outreach enables us to serve God in the world and to share His love with others so they can become more Christ like.
